Update 2: I haven’t been so focused for this second lot of 3 hours, I kept getting distracted by social media and games on my phone. However, I finished over 100 pages of The Loney so made a great headstart for the #Autumnreadathon I also read my picture book The House Held up by Trees. This book had been on my amazon wishlist for years but I was underwhelmed by the story and the artwork – it seems I’m in the minority as it has rave reviews on goodreads. I’m going to continue reading The Loney till I fall asleep as I have a busy day tomorrow.
Update 1: So I’ve been reading for 3 hours ish (I’ve chatted on the phone, eaten dinner, been on fb and instagram too) but I finished my first book of the night, Genuine Fraud by E. Lockhart. This isn’t my typical book but I really enjoyed her novel We Were Liars so when I saw netgalley had review copies I knew I wanted to read it. Ideal readathon book as it was fast paced and kept me guessing, I’ll do a proper review later in the week.
I’m off to start on The Loney now by Andrew Michael Hurley. I doubt I’ll finish this one but I’d like to tackle a big chunk of it.
I’m starting late and only will be reading this evening – we just bought a house and moved in so I’ve been busy doing house stuff (buying locks and light switches!) today and will be tomorrow morning to.
However, I’m planning on reading from 5pm to 1/2am depending on how long I can keep awake for.
My tbr consists of:
Genuine Fraud by E. Lockhart a netgalley
The Loney by Andrew Michael Hurley which I’m hoping to start tonight to get ahead with tomorrow’s #AutumnReadathon
House Held up By Trees by Ted Kooser and illustrated by Jon Klassen
I’ll be updating this post as the evening goes on.
